Minister for Foreign Affairs to-ásy handed me Chinese counter draft. I reponderant points of difference from our áraft are as follows,

2. A new article providing that relations between Chins and Great Britain, etc. shall be based on principle of equality and reciprocity.

3. Addition to article regarding rendition of concessions of a clause providing for the termination of the to:loon lease onvention 1898.

4. Additional exchange of notes providing for inclusion in abrogation of extraterritorial and related rights of further unequal treaty rights including coast trade and inland navigation.

5. Texts of differences and comments on discussion are contained in my immediately following telegrams.
